DEAR PARISHIONERS

My Dear Parishioners,

I am indeed sorry for the sudden death of Rev. Fr. Albert J. Santorsola who was a very close friend of mine. Accept my deepest heartfelt condolences and prayers. In this month of November, may his soul and souls of all faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace.

I am very grateful to God who has chosen me to become a priest to serve Him and His people. I am also very grateful to Most Reverend Nelson J. Perez, D.D., the Archbishop of Philadelphia, Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Sullivan, Vicar for Clergy, Rev. Fr. Michael Hennelly Assistant Vicar for Clergy and the staff who appointed me to be a Parochial Administrator of St. Rose of Lima Church for the pastoral need. I am honored to serve you and minister to you Sacramentally, Spiritually and Religiously.

From last two years, I was helping Rev. Fr. Albert J. Santorsola. I assisted him with masses, sacraments and funerals. Let me introduce my work experiences and education. I have worked in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as a Diocesan Coordinator of “Apostleship of the Sea”, “Stella Maris a special ministry,” National Consultant for Migration and Refugee Services/the Pastor Care of Migrants and Refugees for Pakistani Apostolate in the United States (For USA Bishops’ Conference Washington, DC.), Diocesan Coordinator for Pakistani Apostolate, Parochial Vicar of St. William Church, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Peace Church and a Staff Member of Metropolitan Tribunal.

Academically, I have a doctorate degree in Canon Law, specialization in Canonical Jurisprudence, Pastoral Clinical Education (CPE), I have completed MBA courses in administration and finances. I have courses in Psychotherapy and Family Counseling Courses at LaSalle University. Since I studied in Rome-Italy, I got the opportunities to know some European languages, such as Italian, German, French and Spanish as well as my native languages English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. I have experienced a well-founded education and pastoral experiences with multi- international cultures and ethnic people as well as ecumenical people. I am honored to serve you as your Parochial Administrator and to utilize my knowledge and experience.  Let us all work together and continue to build St. Rose of Lima Parish with faith, love, and peace and united with the blessing of Our Lord Jesus, who is the King of the Universe.  I wish you all Happy Feast of Christ the King and Happy Thanksgiving.

Liturgically with the Feast of Christ the King of the Universe, we end the liturgical year Cycle A and begin a new liturgical year Cycle B with first week of Advent Sunday. Finally, I ask your special prayers for my ministry and service in this parish. I have great passion, honor and respect for you all individually and collectively.  I shall be more than happy to help you any time when you need me.  Please do not hesitate to call me, parish office secretary or leave a message and we shall help you.

With prayers and thanks!

Fr. Dominic Ishaq JCD
